CLUB COMPETITIONS - IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ENTRANTS

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Entrants to the club competitions must be fully paid up members for the year at the time of entry.
With the exception of the Drabble Cup, Goodberry Cup, the Mixed Triples and the Falklands Trophy,
entrants to any of the other competitions must be available to play on both of the Finals Days (2nd & 3rd of
September) and keep themselves available for these dates until such time they are eliminated.
HANDICAP COMPS, JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP, MEN’S OVER 65 SINGLES & MEN’S/LADIES’ PAIRS
Entrants to the Ladies’ Handicap & the Men’s Handicap will handicapped by 1 shot for every club
competition in which they have been a finalist in the previous 2 seasons and by an additional 1 shot for each
competition won with a maximum handicap of 12. The same handicap applies to new members in respect
of any competitions at their previous club(s).
The Junior Championship (a mixed singles competition) is not open to previous winners of the competition
or previous winners of either the Men’s or Ladies’ Championship.
The Men’s Over 65 Singles competition is open to any male members aged 65 or over at the start of the
Entry for the Pairs is an individual entry as the sides will be drawn by lot.
All rounds of the competitions will have a cut-off date, which will be the last day for play for that round.
All rounds of the competitions will have a date and time of play allocated to them, which will be at least 7
days before the cut-off date.
If the allocated date and time for play of a round is not suitable for any of the participants, it is their duty to
contact the other participants to arrange an alternative date and time for play which must be before or on the
cut-off date for that round.
In the event of an alternative date not being arranged and one side attends to play at the allocated date and
time then that side will be awarded a ‘walkover’.
In the event of an alternative date not being arranged and neither side attends to play at the allocated date
and time then both sides will be struck from the competition.
In the event of ‘force majeure’ preventing a team member playing, referral should immediately be made to
the Competition Secretary who will arrange, if possible and appropriate, a substitute.
All disputes should be referred to the Competition Secretary.
The Competition Secretary may, at his discretion, consult with the President and/or the Captain before
arbitrating on a dispute.
The Competition Secretary’s decision on all matters will be final.
